How do I remove Packard Bell from my IE and Outlook?

When I open Internet Explorer or Outlook Express, I get not only Packard Bell written on them, but they are also a horrible purple colour. This also makes reading whats underneath difficult. I know there is a method using the 'RUN' command, but don't know what to type in for either application. I would also, if possible like to remove without harm the Packard Bell screen that shows every time I boot. Would be very grateful if anyone could help with my IE and OE, the boot screen would be a bonus. Thank you.

I do NOT understand how you are getting Packard Bell, or a PB screen on your computer. Packard Bell has not made computers in the U.S. since the mid-90's. Surely your computer isn't that old? and still running?

When you referred to "run" I think you are thinking of either regedit or msconfig, depending on what operating system you are running. If it is XP, you can remove anything referring to PB from your startup, and that's msconfig. Click on Start, Run and type "msconfig" without the quote marks. Then select Startup on the right side, and find Packard Bell or anything that looks like it might resemble Packard Bell. If it's there, and there should be SOMETHING there, remove the checkmark. Close the config box and restart the computer if it calls for it. If it's XP, it may nag a little about you having changed something. Just ignore the reminder and keep telling it to close.

Then, just to be on the safe side, click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and see if there is any program there that has anything to do with Packard Bell. Unless you DO have a PB machine, you don't need any reference to it. So if there is something there, click to remove it, then close the control panel and restart the computer.

I hope this helps!
